Record yourself reading a page of a book. If you’ve got a toddler take the opportunity to read them bedtime stories every night and record that. You can elaborate on the story the book dishes out, not only will your toddler love it but it will help you will your story telling.

Start recording breaks on your smart phone – Best part you can record them anywhere.

Dave Matthews Episode 37 says “Start a Pod cast right Now”, Dave says “if you don’t start a Podcast night now and you wanna be in radio you’re in idoit.” Find a Niche and put together a passion project. Creating a Podcast will challenge you in the content space, having to come up with new content for your episodes daily/ weekly/ monthly and will also give you the flying hours you need to prepare yourself for a broadcasting career.

Community Radio is also a great thing to get yourself involved with to get your flying hours up. Most Community Radio stations will have some hours they need filled on the air and it just so happens you could fill that need.
